Restart method of large hoist overload tripping

The phenomenon that the hoist trips due to overload is relatively common, but after the large hoist trips due to uncontrolled metering or other reasons, it is often difficult to restart, and some even cause the accident to expand. Therefore, after the overload trip of the large hoist, it is necessary to take measures. some necessary measures.


First of all, after the hoist is overloaded and trips, a comprehensive analysis and inspection must be carried out. The inspection contents include:




Check whether the motor is normal;


Whether the coupling is bearing stuck, whether the oil level is normal, etc.;


Whether the upper and lower bearings are normal;


Whether the intermediate shell and bracket are bulging and deformed, etc.




When the analysis confirms that the backstop is normal, open the upper and lower manhole doors to check the bucket and traction parts to determine the cause of the overload. In general, the reasons for overloading are as follows:




Insufficient tension and deflection of the traction parts cause friction between the bucket hanger casing and the bucket and the casing;


The bearing is damaged and stuck; the transmission failure is stuck;


Too much incoming material and aggregate material at the end of the machine will increase the resistance. At the same time, due to the high material level, the material will be full and compacted, and the bulk density will increase, etc.




After the overload cause is checked and determined, the construction plan can be prepared according to the cause to deal with it. The method is as follows.


1. Treatment of knocking and hanging buckets caused by insufficient tension


In the case of confirming that the backstop is reliable, clean the aggregate at the end of the machine, lift the sprocket at the end of the machine, reset the traction member to the normal position, drive slowly, and adjust the traction member to the normal position by tensioning.


2. Treatment of bearing damage and stuck


The damage of the bearing usually occurs at the tail of the machine. The lower sprocket can be lifted, the bearing seat can be opened to replace the bearing, and then the lower sprocket can be pressed, and then the traction element can be adjusted to the normal position through the slow transmission or the main transmission.


3. Handling of jumping and stopping caused by transmission failure


The overload tripping caused by the transmission failure mostly occurs in the bearing, most of which are caused by the bearing falling off and jamming. At this time, the reducer needs to be disassembled. Before the disintegration of the reducer, anti-reverse measures must be taken. The current hoist backstop is mostly installed on the high-speed end of the reducer (if it is installed on the hoist sprocket shaft, there is no problem), so it is necessary to prevent the hoist from reversing before disassembling the reducer. Traction parts, and take auxiliary measures according to the site conditions to prevent the danger of chain failure and ensure safety. After the reducer is repaired, the chain can be slowly loosened, and the backstop can be inspected. If there is no problem, clean the site. Test machine production is available. If the coupler is faulty, it can be repaired.


4. Handling of overload tripping caused by too many incoming materials


After eliminating the overload tripping caused by other reasons and confirming that the overload tripping caused by the aggregate, the slow drive can be turned on to empty the material. When the slow drive cannot be turned on, the following steps can be used to deal with it.


The first step: replenish the fluid level of the coupler, clear the material in the casing, start the main and auxiliary drives at the same time beside the machine, and empty the material. Note that when the main drive is able to pull, stop the slow drive as soon as possible.


Step 2: If the first step still cannot start, you can turn off the main motor to soft start, and follow the first step to turn on the main and auxiliary drives to empty the material.


Step 3: If the first two methods still do not work, you must open a hole in the middle of the elevator shell, and use high-pressure air to blow out the material in the bucket until the elevator can be started. During the period, dust collection equipment must be turned on to avoid pollution incidents, and operators must take safety measures in place.
